If you want a vacation camera with a larger zoom range, take a look at our selection of compact travel zoom.
So do not let the camera hold: all these waterproof and robust devices are made for a wild and humid life.

1. Dough Olympus! TG-5
As the name suggests, it is a robust camera.
Sensor : 1/2.3 inches, 12 MP
Objective : 25-100 mm
Voltage : 15m
Gel : -10 °
Shocking : 2.1m
Screen : 3 inches, 460k points

Range of accessories
Against :
Libling image to ISO Eravage
Zoom control is complicated
Few robust cameras can compete with the exceptional quality of production of TG-5 and its feeling of robustness that inspires trust. Of course, in our times, the TG-5 is built to survive almost everything we could launch ourselves, literally. An ergonomic design and ergonomics and well-designed controls make the TG-5 a product that is pleasant to use in all times. Olympus opted unusually to break down the number of 16 MP pixels on the TG-4 to 12 MP on the TG-5. Although the resolution decreases a bit, it means that pixels are not so compact, which allows to obtain better performance in the wheat. The TG-5 borrows the integrated field sensor system that we have seen on the Tg Tracker, which consists of a GPS sensor, a pressure sensor, a compass and a temperature sensor. The collected data can be viewed with images and videos using the Olympus Image Track application. It also has the last Truepic VIII processor of Mark II E-M1 and can now capture 4K to 30p videos or high-speed sequences to 120p in Full HD. Our choice n ° 1 between this group.

2. Nikon Coolpix W300
The ideal choice if you want to immerse yourself in deep waters.
Sensor : 1/2.3 inches, 16 MP
Objective : 24-120 mm
Voltage : 30m
Gel : -10 °
Shocking : 2.1m
Screen : 3 inches, 921k points
Movie : 4k
Level of use : Beginner
Pour:
Waterproof up to 30 m

Against :
Careful control
Incouncement of the exhibition
Coolpix W300 has a series of features: there is the 4K video for beginners, a fantastic GPS system, an interactive world card and a Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as an altimeter and a deep submarine indicator. The W300 also offers a high resolution OLED monitor at 921k points, but the most impressive is that the W300 can operate up to a depth of 30 meters provided by the fact that an advanced water immersion certificate is delivered to you.

3. Panasonic Lumix FT5 / TS5
Despite his age, FT5 is still one of the best robust compact on the market.
Sensor : 1/2.3 inches, 16.1 MP
Objective : 28-128mm
Voltage : 13m
Gel : -10 °
Shocking : 2m
Monitor : 3 inches, 460k points
Movie : 1080p
Level of use : Beginner
Pour:
Rapide performance
GPS and total characteristics
Against :
Libling image to ISO Eravage
Weak
The Panasonic FT5 (called TS5 in the United States) can start being a little old, but today it can still make makeup against the best of waterproof compact. A 4.6x optical zoom offers a focal range from 28 to 128 mm and is optically stabilized to smooth the movements of the device. However, a minimum focus distance of 5 cm is less than that of the 1 cm macro-models offered by many competitors. An impressive LCD screen facilitates the composition of your photos, while the rapid and reliable automatic focus system and the precise exposure measurement system guarantee that the images are taken as expected, either above or below the water. Add extras like GPS, Wi-Fi with remote control and NFC function for easy sharing of images and FT5 presents itself as an excellent versatile.

4. Canon Powershot D30
A little old, but it is a well -designed compact.
Sensor : 1/2.3 inches, 12.1 MP
Objective : 28-140mm
Voltage : 25m
Gel : -10 °
Shocking : 2m
Monitor : 3 inches, 460k points
Movie : 1080p
Level of use : Beginner
Pour:
Good ergonomics
Efficient to white balance
Against :
Bad GPS functionality
No integrated Wi-Fi
The D30 design has large commands that make the camera exceptionally easy to use, even underwater, as we have noticed, or wearing gloves. The D30 is certainly very pleasant to use, but it is disappointing for its poor image quality. His 12.1 megapixel sensor and his Digic 4 processor are starting to grow old and are prone to generate levels of noise perceptible from the island. At least, the detail levels are relatively high and there are few traces of wear. The D30 is equipped with a GPS tracking system, but does not record the altitude or depth data and the Wi-Fi is not available. There is no doubt that the PowerShot D30 is a waterproof wonder, which drops up to 25 meters, but apart from this and its ergonomic advantages, has been overcome by the competition.

5. Fujifilm Finepix XP120
Easy to use, ideal for the beach and for the tracks.
Sensor : 1/2.3 inches, 16.4 MP
Objective : 28-140mm
Voltage : 15m
Gel : -10 °
Anticocs : 1.75 m
Monitor : 3 inches, 920k points
Movie : 1080p
Level of use : Beginner
Pour:
Economic compared to its competitors
Advanced filters
Against :
Quality of the disappointing image
No GPS included
Compared to Ultra Hard competition, the XP120 does not have the same references. This means that it may not be completely at the height of the most active user, but it will be more than at the peak for a family beach or a ski holiday. There is a crowd of fun filters included and Wi-Fi connectivity, but no GPS. Easy to use, it is an excellent option if you are looking for a sustainable compact point and shoot the camera for the use of the family.
